Santa Fe

We are in Santa Fe currently. We spent the night with Marty's cousin....and woke to the sound of cows mooing....weird....since we're in town. We have a shoot today in Rio Rancho...and then I think we are going to El Paso today.

Also....this entire trip....I have had NO idea what time it is because of the time change. Annoying!!!

The cats are still doing well....cosmo made it a habit to try and "climb" and by climb I mean go limp and fall into the front seat and onto my lap. He only did this at the exact moments he shouldn't have.....like through construction zones and when my hands were full. Other than trying to be in the front seat when the entire back seat is open and available to them....the cats are fine. We gave them drugs yesterday and reggie promptly hid in the trunk for almost the entire day. Oh and pill poppers are a gift from God.

Saturday, day 3

We are finally in Colorado! Chelsea helpred our trip through Nebraska, dirty jokes are funnier when you need them!
The cats have been doing alright, travel litter pans are a huge perk.

We are now driving into Denver to see our third Rachel of the tour. Rachel Karel, ragvel Watson, and now, Rachael kerns! Sioux falls with the twatson was nice, we took our time there to relax, take long showers and sleep in. Late. The koolaid museum would have been nice, had we stopped there.

The mountains are in view now, which is amazing! Finally, something to look at.
James, sweet man Morrison is serenading our entrance into the mountain land. Its time to surrender, the pieces don't fit here anymore! How appropriate!

I am excited to sit in some hot springs, as many as possible, please!

The mountains are the pretty from the painting kind! El paso's mtns are rough and rugged, these are soft and gentle! Gracefully slicing the pure blue sky with their snowy tips.

Fun! More later!

Day 1

Day 1 of our trip is coming to a close and I have to say. Despite how much stress and sadness I feel.. I am at peace. I have no idea what is going on in the next week...let alone month of my life....but I feel ok with it. I am right where I need to be. I miss my Tony a bit....but I will see him soon. The cats are doing remarkably well. We chose not to drug them today and find out what would happen. They are completely chill during the car ride...so far...they like to take turns on perching on the center console and watching the road.

We had a shoot this morning and then met with my landlord to turn in my keys. From there we went to Conger, MN to say goodbye to my mom and step-dad. Then we drove to see Miss Rachel Watson. We dined at a fabulous place called Tre and are currently watching a rather large screened television...HGTV. This is how we roll.

Tomorrow we are going to the Kool Aid museum and then in to Colorado....we'll see if that John Denver really is full of shit.

through day 3 at 3p.

We have not slept a lot, we are busy, and we are moving!

As today began, we were barely out of bed.we had decided last night that if we got up in the morning we would buy coffee and bagels. But we woke up hearing the sound of the stupid ring she has on her phone. ...and the semi truck out the window. So! We scurried, and now the movers are packing everything and loading it onto a larger than life sized orange and white with black letters- semi.

Now I want to keep writing, but I am too tired, binas turn.

AHHHH!!!!

Time is going by so fast now!!! and I still don't know when Paige and I are leaving! I am supposed to find out Wednesday....we'll see if they stick to their word this time....

My going away party was fabulous...got to see some people I haven't seen in awhile and I got to dance!! I love dancing. Now it's only 6 days til Paige comes!!!!

On a travel note:

I recently procured a dosage of bendryll to test out on Cosmo and Reggie. Cosmo is a slimmer 17 lbs and Reggie a mere 10. So I went to target and purchased the 25 mg tabs of benedryll to drug my cats with.

I got home and tony crushed up the pills and mixed them with wet food. After placing the food in the dish the cats bum rushed the bowl...only to stop abruptly. Cosmo took a HUGE mouthful of it (because he is a pig) and immediately projectile vomited the food back in the bowl and began drooling. Reggie took one sniff, jumped like someone bit him and hid behind the couch.

I figured that at this point we would have to shove the pill down their throats....so I had tony hold them and I got the pills down their gullets. Cosmo ran off and sat by the door drooling profusely and growling until about thirty minutes later he wandered over by me growling and threw up.

I was a bit distraught that this supposed remedy was not working. It had no affect on Reggie whatsoever. I came to the conclusion that the dosage must have been off. I decided to try liquid benedryll. For all of you folks out there who think it might be easier to use a syringe to get medication into a cat....it's not. Don't try it.

Anyhow. I pinned down Reggie first and managed to get about a half dosage into his mouth before he gagged and ran off. I thought nothing of it and moved on to my next slightly pudgier victim. Cosmo too got about a half a dosage...but he didn't gag...he projectile vomited yet again...this time straight into my face and all over my chest. (FYI- Benedryll is sticky.) He then ran into the same room Reggie was in leaving a trail of drool behind him. When I say trail of drool....I don't just mean he was drooling a little. This was St. Bernard sized cat drool. I rounded the corner from my kitchen to the dining room only to see that unbeknownst to me...Reggie had the same reaction to the Benedryll as Cosmo....and had freaked out about it. I now had to clean cat drool of the carpet, the chair, the loveseat, the couch, the wood floor, and the tv screen.

Moral of the story?

Get prescription drugs the first time.
